Other info
Built to the classic elegant lines of the famous
Falmouth working boat and detailed designs of Percy Dalton. She is an
excellent and powerful sea boat with traditional long straight keel and
virtually sails herself. She is versatile being a practical family boat as well
as suitable for class racing. The yacht has been professionally
maintained from new and is in outstanding condition. May will appeal to
those who love classic yachts but not the traditional maintenance!
The Falmouth oyster boats were open boats designed to be sailed by
one man when working but also enjoy spectacular match racing with a
full crew. May achieves 8/9 knots under sail on a reach in 20 knots of
wind and regularly outpoints Bermudian rigged cruising yachts. She is an
ideal solution for those wanting to sail a classic but practical yacht that
holds great interest in all kinds of conditions.
